Fresh off their American Music Award (AMA) win for Single of the Year (“Cruise”), Florida Georgia Line has announced a date at the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre on April 9, 2014 for their Here’s To The Good Times Tour. Joining Florida Georgia Line will be #Langley, B.C. singer-songwriter Dallas Smith and Chris Lane.
“There isn’t a hotter act in country music right now than Florida Georgia Line and we are excited to be bringing them to the Fraser Valley,” said Global Spectrum’s Jason Blumenfeld, General Manager of the #Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre.
“The City of Abbotsford looks forward to hosting this spectacular live performance featuring one of the top acts in country music,” said Bruce Banman, Mayor of Abbotsford.
In Canada, Florida Georgia Line has been newly crowned the #1 Most Played Country Artist on radio in 2013, having launched three consecutive, multi-week #1 smashes including the Gold-certified “Round Here,” Platinum-selling “Get Your Shine On” and 6X Platinum “Cruise.” This year, they have made history breaking the record for the longest #1 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs Chart with their single “Cruise,” which has sold over 6.1 million downloads in the US alone and is the second best-selling Country single ever according to SoundScan. Florida Georgia Line is the only artist in history to join Brooks & Dunn in having their first three singles hit #1 for multiple weeks each.
The talented twosome has been racking up several awards’ show nominations, including seven fan-voted American Country Awards and will perform on the upcoming show. Florida Georgia Line has previously taken home multiple ACM, CMA and CMT Music Awards and garnered several Teen Choice nominations.
